Die Hölle des Krieges

In einem abgelegenen Dorf auf der friedlichen Insel Zypern lebt der elfjährige Orestes und seine Familie ein zufriedenes und zurückgezogenes Leben.

In dieses idyllische Paradies dringen plötzlich eines Tages schwerbewaffnete türkische Truppen und bereiten dem Frieden ein abruptes Ende. Auf der Flucht vor den türkischen Truppen erfahren sie am eigenen Leib das Grauen des Krieges, die sinnlose Zerstörung ihrer Heimat, die grenzenlose Brutalität der feindlichen Soldaten und die Leere, die nach einem mit aller Härte geführten Angriff zurückbleibt.
