Der Film spielt 1947, nachdem Indien seine Unabhängigkeit von Großbritannien erlang hatte – Steve Gibbs, ein ehemaliger Flying Tiger, ist ein amerikanischer Gunrunner, der in die Bergstationshauptstadt eines kleinen, nordindischen Bundesstaates namens Gandahar fliegt.
