Jazzstones Trio Plays the Rolling Stones

jazztonesBeatles-Bearbeitungen im Jazz existieren schon lange. Aber wann hat sich je mal ein Ensemble an die Rolling Stones gewagt?
Seit der eher konventionellen Joe-Pass-Einspielung von 1967 und den Tim-Ries-Produktionen gab es in den letzten fünfzig Jahren allenfalls hier und da mal Versuche, Jagger & Richards in die Jazzwelt zu beamen.
Das JazzStones-Trio hat insofern ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, als Rolling-Stones Bearbeitungen noch nicht im Klaviertrio zu hören waren.
Mit aufgeweckten Adaptionen, die eine neue Rezeption der altehrwürdigen Titel fordern, bauen die drei Musiker eine Brücke von der ursprünglich typisch bodenständigen Harmonik, Rhythmik und Melodik von Klassikern wie „Paint It Black“, „Sympathy For The Devil“, „Angie“, „Ruby Tuesday“, „Lady Jane“ oder „Under My Thumb“ zum modernen europäischen Klaviertrio-Jazz.
