““Snake island“ enthält meinen ganzen bodenlosen Schmerz über die sinnlose und dumpfe Zerstörungswut hasserfüllter Menschen, die dem schönsten aller Planeten in Kürze den Garaus machen, wenn nicht ein Wunder geschieht.“

Den Einstieg auf die „Schlangeninsel“ befördern zwei Coverversionen: Motörhead – Knaller „Ace of Spades“ mit furiosem Gitarrensolo von Gary Schmalzl – und “Rake“, die Schwerenöter-Ballade des todessehnsüchtigen US-Barden Townes Van Zandt.. „Die Story meiner Jugend“, sagt Mona Mur.

Veredelt wurde „Snake island“ durch extensive Nachbearbeitung und Mastering von Produzentenlegende Jon Caffery (Joy Division, Kraftwerk, Einstürzende Neubauten, Linton Kwesi Johnson), dem beide Künstler langjährig verbunden sind.
