‚Wild‘ Bill Elliott – Der Mann von Topeca

Nach einer Reihe von Banküberfällen beschließen Jim Levering (Wild Bill Elliott) und seine Bande, sich für eine Weile in Deer Creek zu verstecken, wo Bar- und Casino Besitzer Mack Wilson (Harry Lauter) der Oberherr ist.

Wilson betreibt einen Schutzgeldring und die Stadthändler müssen ihn bezahlen, um weiter zu agieren. Jim zieht ein und plant, Wilsons Schläger für sich selbst zu übernehmen. Er und seine Männer peitschen Wilsons Bande und vertreiben sie aus der Stadt und dem Territorium, und Jim gewinnt den Respekt der Gemeinschaft. Als er zum Sheriff gemacht wird, beschließen er und sein Kumpel Ray Hammond (Rick Vallin), weiterzumachen.

Der Rest von Jims alter Bande schließt sich Wilsons Outfit an und plündert die Stadt. Jim und Ray gehen in Aktion und die Gesetzlosen werden entweder getötet oder eingesperrt…
