Ihr In-your-face-bad-ass-Sound wurde schon sehr schön beschrieben als Baby aus einem flotten Dreier von Chicago, Led Zeppelin und Janis Joplin. Das Oktett (!) räumt in der Heimat im Livesektor mächtig ab und hat zuletzt mit George Clinton Parliament Funkadelic über 100 Shows bestritten.
George Clinton ist auch special guest auf dem neuen Werk „Feed the Wolf“. Die namengebende Miss Velvet mag ´ne schlanke Blondine sein, erinnert aber immer wieder an die besten Phasen von James Brown, Steven Tyler und Joe Cocker, verbunden mit dem Soul von Etta James und der mystischen Präsenz von Jim Morrison.
